Leyden Downs is a proud fourth-generation. family-owned and operated dairy, sheep and beef farm based in Carterton. The farm runs a herd of 720 Friesian dairy cows milked twice daily. To ensure a reliable, year-round milk supply, the herd operates a split-calving system, with half calving in the autumn and the remainder in spring. At Leyden Downs, we combine generations of farming knowledge with modern practices to produce high-quality milk, sheep and beef products with care and integrity.
