Totara Hill is nestled under the Tararua ranges 15km north west of Eketahuna. It comprises of 400 cows in a mixed farm system which grazers 220ha of land. Owners of five years are Grant & Charlotte Bennett and there three children. When first approached to supply Eketahuna milk we saw it ticked a lot of our boxes of being sustainable with the glass bottles and high traceability of the milk with purchasers knowing the cows will be well looked after whilst farming with environmental sustainability a top priority.

We see ourselves as custodians of the land for future generations, here’s a few things we do which make a difference…
- Our farm streams have been fenced to keep stock out and wet lands have been designed and developed to provide effective filtration systems.
- Our cows are fed predominately grass which is supplemented with hay and silage
- We don't use any palm kernel
- Totara Hill cows are happy, healthy and very content
- Our water for our cows and cow shed for wash down is from a crystal clear spring which is of the highest clarity and quality
- We’ve planted in excess of 10,000 native trees and have pockets of native bush that harbor an increasing native bird life
- We have rigorous hygiene and safety procedures, with continual checks and audits to ensure Totara Hill meets Eketahuna Milks strict quality standards
